Amazing stories Two men surprised an old man who brought flowers in tribute to his wife by Impress story 05.01.2023 05.01.2023 22 views Share 0FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinTumblrRedditWhatsappTelegram We would like the beautiful love stories to last a lifetime. They make us want to believe in fairy tales. We all know a couple who loved each other until the last day. Bud Caldwell is an elderly man. He lost his wife, Betty, whom he loved more than anything. A bench has been set up in Lakeside Park in his home town of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA. It was her husband who financed it and had a plaque installed with her photo. He always went to visit her, brought her daisies because it was her favorite flower, sang her their song, sat on the bench and talked to her about whatever came into his head. This loving widower feels alone and appreciates these privileged moments with the one who shared his life for decades. The park is magnificent when the weather is nice, with its majestic lake and beautiful nature. But in winter, snow and ice cover everything, making access to the bench difficult for Bud. This is when two strangers come into this pretty love story. Jerrod Ebert and Kevin Schultz are both city employees and saw that someone was taking a particular route to the bench. They therefore took on their free time to clear it and facilitate access from the car park to this very special environment. Finding out what they had done in secret, Bud was very touched. But for these two generous men, it was the most normal thing because even if for many this path led nowhere, they had seen that for someone it was important. Discover the protagonists of this tender story below. As the voice-over very aptly says, sometimes to make a difference in this world, you have to have a good idea, and sometimes you just have to recognize the goodness around us.
