Many wondered what was happening when they saw a woman in front of whom many turtles were moving. Anyone would be interested. They seemed to be queuing up for something special. A friendly visitor to the Singapore Botanic Gardens has apparently figured out how to make life easier for a group of turtles who live there.

Here is how. With a brush! Nur Hafiza Ariffin recently witnessed a special scene during a visit to the gardens. There, crouched at the edge of a pond in the park, stood a woman with what appeared to be a plastic brush for washing dishes. Nur wasn’t the only one who noticed her!

Dozens of turtles came out of the water eagerly, as if queuing for a scrub. Nur thinks the woman’s purpose was to remove the seaweed from their shells. And the turtles seemed to really like the attention! “Spreading kindness in every way.” Nur wrote with the video of the scene, which she posted to Facebook. “Such a heartwarming face.” she added.

Even though a turtle doesn’t need cleaning, it seems to like a little brush on its shell. Animals can smell a lot through their shells, so it’s not surprising. Watch the cute turtles come out of the water below for a great scrub!
