That would be all right, but sometimes it is surprising that people expect, for example, to buy a breed of dog that is not considered a guard dog by nature. This suggests that the animal is needed for other purposes – perhaps for the holiday season, while the children/grandchildren can be entertained as well.

If you pay attention, such ads usually want to accept the donation of purebred dogs, and sometimes quite expensive. Among others are asked to donate and decorative breeds. But the most interesting thing is that it is almost impossible to find the ad, in which a person would like to get a mongrel dog for free from clever good parents.

It turns out that for people is a way to get a purebred dog for free. So it’s kind of like they don’t have the money to buy it (or they wouldn’t want to spend it on it). Then a logical question arises: how and on what do they plan to keep the animal? After all, no matter how you look at it, even with the minimum of everything you need, there will still be some costs!

Even if you do not plan to purchase any “excesses”, when keeping any dog, its owner has to incur certain expenses, which can be grouped into several categories. So, the primary will include the purchase of mandatory items: leash, collar, muzzle, bowl, brush, toys, cot, etc. And this list is approximate, since if without a blanket or toys under some circumstances, the dog can do, something else may have to buy repeatedly.

Depending on the season, we will have to buy different insect repellents. And the better quality they are, or the less harmful they are to the pet’s health, the more they will cost. Also, every year you will need to deworm and vaccinate the pet. Well, and the most “regular” part of the expenses – is, of course, food, as leftovers from the table, especially for a thoroughbred dog – one of the most undesirable food options. If you have allergies – you’ll have to buy a quality food of a certain brand. In addition, vitamins are also added to the dog’s food. Some animals require clothing and shoes.

If a dog is in good health and his owner can trim its nails and clean its ears just fine, that’s great. But even then the chances are that at some point the animal will need treatment and the more serious the condition, the more money will have to be invested in getting him back on his feet (I mean on his feet). In addition to medication, shots, IVs, and surgery may be required, after all. And even if the shots are not too much trouble for the new owner of the dog, he can hardly perform the surgery himself. Therefore, the sad result of cohabitation of the owner and the pet can be a sick animal thrown on the street.

A separate topic when dogs of very large or fighting breeds are taken as a gift – they often can’t be handled, and it’s good if it doesn’t end in tragedy. Having become disillusioned with the animal, they can give it to a shelter without thinking at all about how it will affect its psyche.
