What’s the best doggie treat?

In the process of training a dog, in any case, it is necessary to use some methods to motivate and encourage the dog. As a rule, the most effective method, in addition to the owner’s affection, is treats. Opinions about what it should differ even more radically than the taste preferences of the dogs themselves. Some owners, wanting to pamper their pets, buy cheap tasty treats, which are widely available at pet supply stores. Although the benefits of these treats are often highly questionable, and even the pet vendors admit this.

The question remains – what to treat your four-legged friend, so that it was not only tasty but, at least, not harmful? Qualified veterinarians recommend giving natural treats – it may be cheese (but not cheese products), fruits, vegetables, as well as small pieces of boiled meat or by-products. The basic rule – the quality of everything we treat and feed our pet was not worse than what we eat ourselves.

There are endless battles on dog breeder forums about the benefits of dry food and “straight food”. But, frankly, natural food is less attractive to me personally by the fact that it is very troublesome to prepare – calculations, proportions, and the very purchase of products. Therefore we have chosen a dry food – Farmina ND, which by all parameters suits both Phil and us. Flavors are very diverse, and the division by age categories is quite clear. In my opinion, among the ranges, you can find food for “every taste and color” – for dogs of all ages, tastes, and health. Yes, yes, therapeutic foods are also available here. We, however, have not needed it yet, but on occasion, we will try it.

To be honest, at first, we were also afraid of allergies, well, just in case – because, judging by reviews of different (even premium) foods, some pets happen. But “Farmina” did not let us down, so Philia found his food. By the way, it can be used as a tasty treat, too.
