When the baby rhino lost his mom, the little zebra came to help him and here is their relationship now

In nature, there are examples of animals of different species helping each other but it is quite rare all the same. The relationship between this baby rhinoceros and this baby zebra for example would have been complicated if they had not met in the Care For Wild Rhino sanctuary. Here is their story.

Daisy, the little rhinoceros, was found alone in Kruger Park in early December. She was only a few hours old and was very weak. She was quickly airlifted to the shelter’s intensive care unit. The baby rhino needed constant care, but was not the only baby animal in the hospital.

At the end of November, Modjadji had been admitted to intensive care. She was just a week old when she was found motionless and barely breathing after heavy rains and storms. The two met and quickly formed a close bond, just like sisters. The duo is inseparable now. When night falls, the two young animals sleep together and cuddle.

One day, Daisy and Modjadji will live free and meet other rhinos and zebras, that’s all we want. But until then, they can count on each other to keep each other company and learn to live with other animals. See how cute they are together in the video bellow!
