Cody Johnson has been putting out music since 2009, trying to stay true to the classic country sound he has always loved. It is safe to assume that he has succeeded with singles like Til You Can’t and Human. As a result, he has developed a sizable fan base over time. However, Johnson’s passion for everything country has a good effect on more people than just his followers.

Johnson is the father of two young girls, Cori, age five, and Clara Mae, age eight. They share their father’s musical talent. That’s the reason he decided to play alongside them on the Grand Ole Opry stage last week.

They sung a song called “My Rifle, My Pony, and Me” together. Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson first sang this popular song for the 1959 John Wayne Western Rio Bravo. With the lovely vocals of Cori and Clara Mae providing accompaniment, the song completely changes.

Therefore, it makes sense that the audience is able to remain much quieter than they generally are during live performances. Nevertheless, there were times when the audience had to applaud these gifted children.

It goes without saying that the Johnson family and the audience will never forget this performance. A fan comments in the video’s comment section, “Not me crying thinking about this playing at their weddings.”
